The most unusual dish I’ve brought to a bbq cookout

BBQ party August 2016

Well, not exactly a dish per se since bbq sauce is more of a condiment, but that’s what our neighbor requested for a summer cookout at theirs. And who else but an American to make sauces worthy of name tags designed by the Italian MotH himself? The “Obama” had bits of sweet pineapple added to it, while Texan Cowboy (ketchup and vinegar-based sauce with a slight habanero kick) received lip-smacking reviews. However…like a wallflower at the junior prom, the “Virgin” (Stonewall Kitchens brand) pretty much sat there untouched. Like they say, homemade is always better!

Heh heh…I will need to make another batch because the neighbors haven’t made any move to give the sauces back. And since I don’t follow a recipe, it should be interesting to see how the next one turns out 🙂
