One reason why we need to visit Switzerland again. At Gourmet Kach in Davos (those people need to start a Facebook page, for crying out loud) the display case is stocked with local cheeses but the raclette interested me most. One has bits of dried piemontese beef and spices (middle slice), while the other has whole peppercorns. Both make excellent snacking as is which defeats the whole purpose for why I bought some in the first place. Still, until the weather cools a bit, the only melted cheese we’re eating will be on a quattro formaggi from the pizzeria.

Speaking of weather, a north african anticyclone (honestly, I didn’t know such a thing existed) has brought a huff of hot air to the boot. So grateful that it’s actually tolerable at our altitude; there is no way the dachshund would sleep so soundly if it weren’t. Every now and then he comes out for a stretch and goes right back in.

    Wow I guess African winds are like the “Kona winds” we talk about in Hawai; guess all are from the “South”. Hope you get some rain to cool things down.

      Couple heat with humidity and it just exacerbates the conditions. Some people began to feel sick at the Milan Expo. We are staying far away until Milan gets hit with a rainstorm.
