International Day of Happiness

March 20th 🙂 – as officially declared by the United Nations in June 2012. I didn’t even know this day existed until I noticed how much the hit song Happy by Pharrell Williams’ has been playing on air lately, and youtubers from all over the world have been uploading upbeat Happy videos at a quick rate. If I had known about this earlier…well let’s just say that the tourism board for Lake Como and Lecco dropped the ball on this one.

Request dates: Approved!

Today there is plenty reason to be happy because (1) we can now go ahead with a mini trip to Provence in a couple of months and (2) today is the spring equinox and thus the first day of spring. Yesterday we went up to 27°C!

We are cuckoo for lavender, and may just end up living in a field of it for all I know. They say that lavender is a good repellent for fleas and bad moods (directing that toward Mr. B, of course) 😉

Only for a long weekend, and the lavender may not even be in bloom yet, but we hope the weather will be great for some cheese shopping and gourmet picnics!

Toasty and oh so optimal for pollen allergies and hungry bugs to start wreaking havoc in the forest. But I can’t complain…it’s so much better when things are green over here.
