Galettes for Bastille Day

Bastille day lunch

We’ve been having such great, no, make that perfect summer weather, that we’ve been able to dine al fresco almost every day. Today may be a french holiday but any excuse to serve up something different is always a good one in this house. Galette and oven-broiled chevre, and galette with vanilla ice cream and salted butter caramel, how’s that for a festive lunch?

      It was so quick and simple, I dunno why we just don’t eat like this more often. Still got more than half a bottle of salted butter caramel from Bretagne.
