Happy Fourth of July!
I stopped making a big deal out of today’s date after moving here, but great weather begets bbq dinners and this evening we’re firing up the grill. Turkey burgers, kebabs, corn-on-the-cob, a green salad made with some micro lettuce from the terrace garden, and potato salad. For dessert? Gelato, in a few decadent flavors. I spent yesterday cooking the cream bases and tonight there will be double chocolate, cantaloupe and vanilla bean cream, plus a very refreshing watermelon sorbetto using the recipe from Ms. Adventures in Italy.
